Wherever your expertise lies, you can help us...
We are at a major point in determining the future of our fanbase. On the pitch, the team is doing well - but the increase in home attendances has not been as large as would be expected of a team performing so well.
Whilst we appreciate it will take time for disaffected supporters to 'return', we are in the process of witnessing a 'lost generation' of BFC supporters.
With so many other activities on offer for young people and the proactive campaigning of other football clubs in our own catchment area, it is IMPERATIVE that we, as BFC supporters, unite and do whatever we can to show how great the experience being a Bury fan is.
Junior Shakers is the avenue with which to achieve this. We are in the position of being able to create an experience for young people that is unrivaled at larger football clubs, in a safe family atmosphere and we need you to get involved!
We aim to ensure that everyone who gets involved has a clear understanding of how much time they'd be required to give us - and we will be able to find you a role that would be flexible around your own time.

Specific roles:
Event Volunteers - Junior Shakers Day – 2nd May
On the 2nd May, Junior Shakers will be officially re-launched at Gigg Lane for the final match of the season vs Accrington Stanley. We will be having volunteers located around the Gigg Lane concourse area from around 2pm, encouraging young people to sign up to Junior Shakers and completing the Junior Shakers Flyer/Membership Application form.
We will also be looking for volunteers to assist in face-painting, photography and other related activities that are still in the process of being finalised.
Its an easy job to do, rewarding in knowing that you're helping to create the next generation of Bury fans, will be pretty fun and not too time consuming.
It's encouraged that you become a Forever Bury member, though not essential but if you do join up, you'll be safe in the knowledge that your voice will be heard as a BFC supporter and you are part of a bigger movement with BFC at heart- as well as all the other member benefits!
Junior Shakers Schools Officer
Do you have connections with a school? Are you a parent, teacher, ex-pupil with links to your old school? Then we want to hear from you!
Junior Shakers aims to have a contact at every school, with which we are able to liaise with in order to achieve our aims. A pilot project is currently underway, whereby the school in question has dedicated lesson time in order for Junior Shakers and Football in the Community to arrange a player visit and encourage the signing up of Junior Shakers.
This has come about using the help of our Junior Shakers officer at that school. Instead of merely giving material to the headmaster of the school, with the help of the JS Officer, we have been able to quickly arrange a dialogue with the school - with reciprocal benefits arranged for the pupils and Junior Shakers.
Could you help fulfill this role at your school? It is a relatively simple role, but helps Junior Shakers get a 'foot in the door' in an informal and approachable manner.
Junior Shakers Multimedia Officers
Do you have expertise in video creation, photoshop editing or audio production? This website is a key focal point for Junior Shakers. We aim to ensure that we have regularly updated, innovative and engaging multimedia material that will generate more interest in Junior Shakers with young people and also be pretty fun for all.
This is a relatively easy role and you may find yourself already doing similar things for your own personal use! We are looking to have items such as wallpapers, fan audio & video recordings, podcast interviews etc, etc!
Parent & General Roles
Like the title says, wherever your expertise lies, you can indeed help us! All we ask is that you are enthusiastic and that you wouldn't mind all the benefits that would come from becoming a Forever Bury member!
If your child has just signed up and you fancy getting involved, then please do! We are looking for help on both practical and technical levels, as long as you're happy to help, then we're happy to have you!
Are you a fan who wants to sees the potential that this project has and wants to get involved? Then of course, get in touch!!
